Code’s creative charity work is for Refuge, who support women and children suffering with domestic violence. A while ago I was tasked with creating a few quick, simple social ideas to promote the charity and get people involved and supporting it.

One of them I quite liked (don’t worry this won’t be made) is influenced by Cluedo. Twitter and Facebook users (most people, then) would post their own Cludeo-style accusation:

It was Ben Haddock with the kitchen knife in the bathroom.

And then maybe include a URL to Refuge at the end of it.

You see the link to domestic violence?

Yes, it is probably crude and offensive towards those who are actually affected by such horrible circumstances, but the casual and potentially viral nature of friends writing these Cluedo updates to each other would be an easy, effective way of spreading awareness about Refuge (and domestic violence itself) to those who perhaps wouldn’t turn a blind-eye to it if it didn’t personally affect them.
